PURPOSE: A broker system to perform interfacing between IPTV system and heterogeneous system is provided to offer interactive communication by set top box without using a computer. CONSTITUTION: A transceiving block(361) receives data and XML(eXtensible Markup Language) document from a heterogeneous system(210). The transceiving block converts the data into the data format suitable for the database(364) based on the XML document. A parsing block(362) analyzes the converted data based on the communication protocol with the heterogeneous system. The parsing block processes the data by a predetermined method. A broker system(360) outputs the data from the database to IPTV(Internet Protocol Television) system(300).
