PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a crawler running apparatus capable of restoring its original attitude even when falling down. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with: multiple pieces of sprockets 2a, 2b and 2c, 2d in each back and forth direction of left side and right side parts of a base body 1; motors 3a, 3b, which drives the sprockets 2a, 2d; crawler belts 4a, 4b, which are stretched between each sprocket in the fore and aft direction; an arm 5 with one end attached rotatably to the end of the back and forth direction of the base body 1; auxiliary sprockets 6a, 6b, which are coupled with a shaft of the other end of the arm 5 so as to control rotation and fixing; and auxiliary crawler belts 7a, 7b, which are stretched between the sprockets 2b, 2d positioned at the arm 5 side and the auxiliary sprockets 6a, 6b.
