PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economically preferable hydrosilylation method requiring only a low concentration platinum catalyst, causing only low discoloration of the product, and requiring only short reaction time and only low reaction temperature. Ž
SOLUTION: Upon hydrosilylating a compound (F) by a linear organopolysiloxane (Q), the siloxane is produced by first reacting a diorganodichlorosilane (A) with monochlorosilane (B) or, otherwise, dichlorosilane (C) with water to obtain a partially hydrolysate (T) and gaseous hydrogen chloride; and in a second process, the partially hydrolysate (T) is treated with water to remove SiCl groups under the formation of hydrochloric acid to generate a hydrolysate (H) containing the organopolysiloxane (Q).
