Disclosed herein is a computer-aided method for checking interaction/interference of a flexible body with other bodies situated, in use, close by to the flexible body and arranged, together with the flexible body, on a means. The method comprises: simulating in a virtual environment, by means of a computer, operating conditions of the means on which the flexible body is arranged to determine positions of points of constraint of the flexible body in the aforesaid operating conditions on the basis of a first three-dimensional mathematical model of the bodies situated, in use, close by to the flexible body; positioning the flexible body on a simulation bench designed to reproduce positions of the points of constraint of the flexible body in a real environment; reproducing on the simulation bench the positions of the points of constraint determined during the simulation in the virtual environment and determining corresponding spatial configurations of the flexible body; calculating a second three-dimensional mathematical model of the flexible body on the basis of the determined spatial configurations of the flexible body; calculating an integrated three-dimensional mathematical model on the basis of the first and second three-dimensional mathematical models; and re-simulating in a virtual environment operating conditions of the means on which the flexible body is arranged, by means of said computer and on the basis of said integrated three-dimensional mathematical model, to check any interference of the flexible body with the other bodies situated close by to it in the operating conditions of the means on which it is arranged. |
