PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for data transmission using transmit diversity in sc-fdma system are provided to lower the PAPR (Peak-to-Average Power Ratio) using STBC. CONSTITUTION: The data processing processes the constellation mapping to create the modulation symbol. The DFT (Discrete Fourier Transform) unit(121) processes DFT in the modulation symbol to create the frequency area symbol. The STBC processing unit(122) processes STBC in the frequency domain symbol to create the temporal spatial block code. The IFFT (Inverse Fast Fourier Transform) unit(124) processes IFFT in the subcarrier to create the SC-FDMA symbol.
