PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for displaying map based on direction of course is provided to grasp the information of the region in which user moves by using a wide screen. CONSTITUTION: The route direction determining unit(110) decides the current position of the map. The center moving unit(120) transfers the first center of the fixed based on the current position to the path direction as the prescribed distance. The second center is decided. The display unit(130) indicates the second area around the second center in the screen.
