PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the storage space of an electric cooker such as hot plate comprising a heat insulating plate or cooking body separable from a body guard by reducing the total height in storage. SOLUTION: The cooking body 2 and the heat insulating plate 3, and the body guard 1 are attachably and detachably installed through a spacer 4 to keep a fixed space, and a heating element 5 is located between the heat insulating plate 3 and the cooking body 2, so that the space between the heat insulating plate 3 and the body guard 1 can be changed in use and in storage. To change the space between the heat insulating plate 3 and the body guard 1, two types of support parts 6 and 7 for the spacer 4 of the heat insulating plate 3 are formed on the body guard 1, so that one support part 6 can support the spacer 4 at a high position, and the other support part 7 can support it at a low position.
