The gear device (1) has two housing inner areas (3 to 5) bounding the gear housing (2) that is supplied over a separate oil-circulation system with hydraulic fluid. A rotating gear element is arranged in an oil-circulation system. Both the housing inner areas are separated sectionally to each other over the wall areas (9,10). A separation device (6) is provided cooperatively with the wall areas bound the third housing inner areas (11,12), which are connected over the separation device with the housing inner areas and over a ventilation unit (18) with a periphery of the gear housing.
