The device (2) has a separator (5) interrupting current carrying lines (4) arranged downstream to the separator. The separator is attached to the lines at an inlet region of an alternating current converter (6). An interruption unit (9) is arranged at a distance to the separator and connected upstream to the separator for interrupting the current carrying lines before the region of an alternating current converter inlet. The interruption unit has a mechanical interruption and/or separation unit for mechanical interruption and/or separation of current carrying lines. An independent claim is also included for a solar system comprising a solar module.
