PURPOSE: A complex formulation containing mastic is provided to improve solubility of mastic and prevent recrystalization of the mastic. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical formulation contains mastic which is extract of Pistasia lentiscus sap and proton pump inhibitor as active ingredient. The proton pump inhibitor is omeprazole, ransoprazole, pantoprazole, rabeprazole or ilaprazole. The proton pump inhibitor is separated from the mastic. The pharmaceutical formulation comprises a core containing the proton pump inhibitor, polymer separation layer surrounding the core and mastic-containing layer surrounding the polymer separation layer. The mastic-containing layer contains mastic, soluble polymer or solid dispersion body of sugar. The sugar is mannitol, sorbitol, erythritol, xylitol, sugar or glucose.
