PURPOSE: A portable terminal and a method thereof for offering flight schedule information according to a user of a portable terminal are provided to conveniently manage the flight schedule information by the user by displaying the flight schedule information. CONSTITUTION: A receiver(110) receives a text message. A controller(130) decides whether the received text message includes the aviation schedule information. The text message includes the aviation schedule information. The controller extracts the aviation schedule information from the text message. The controller controls the extracted information displayed on a stand-by screen.
