The casing (3) surrounds a pair of gas injectors (2), each with an inlet opening (4) for separate introduction of hydrogen and oxygen into the combustion chamber (5). The electrical inlet valves (6) are time- and pressure controlled and include needles (7) associated with nozzles. Combustion products are ejected from the combustion chamber outlet (15). A thermolysis catalyst (20) encases the combustion chamber. This is constructed using two concentric hollow cylinders (25, 26) which enclose an intermediate cavity (27). A metal coating (28) transfers combustion heat from the inner cylinder. The outer cylinder has an inlet (29) for water supply and an outlet (30) supplying electrolytic gas. A temperature sensor (31) controls water supply. |
