PURPOSE: A thermoplastic molding material for water tank manufacture and a method for manufacturing a panel for water tank using the same are provided, which achieve light-weight effect by improving hydrostatic pressure performance of a water tank product. CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic molding material for water tank manufacture comprises a mat 25~45 weight% which is reinforced by continuous orientation glass-reinforced fiber; and thermoplastic resin composition 55~75 weight% which is impregnated in the mat. The continuous orientation glass-reinforced fiber is formed by being needle-punched in the state that a plurality of layers consisting of glass-reinforced fiber cut into the size of 50~100mm and one or more layer consisting of continuous orientation glass-reinforced fiber are stacked.
