FIELD: physics; computer engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a linkage area structure, made between data sections on a read-only recording medium. The recording medium contains a data area with at least two data partitions and a linkage area for linking neighbouring data partitions. The linkage area contains scrambled user data obtained by scrambling user data with a scrambling key. The linkage area consists of two linkage frames, each containing synchrosignals. The linkage area also contains a new frame synchrosignal which differs from the synchrosignals for data frames recorded in physical clusters.
