The invention relates to a method for placing and mechanically connecting panels (10) in rows (40, 42, 44) which are parallel to each other. The panels (10) comprise locking means, which are essentially embodied in the form of a groove-spring connection, on the lateral edges thereof (12, 14, 16, 18) and the panels (10) are connected in such a manner that they can pivot. The inventive method consists of the following steps: Initially, a plurality of panels (10) is connected together in pairs in order to form a new row of panels which need to be placed. In a second step, the panels (10) which are connected to the new row of panels (44) which are to be placed are assembled by pivoting the locking means. In one or several lower steps, one (46a) of the ends of the new row of panels (44) which are to be placed are to bе worked in sections until the other end thereof (46b) by using the torsional flexibility of the panels (10), whereby the panels (10) are connected together in a zipper-like manner. |
