PURPOSE: A roaming method of a terminal in a wireless LAN and an apparatus thereof for securing the continuity of connection with network are provided to secure the continuity of connection by converting an idle mode of the terminal into an active mode when roaming the terminal. CONSTITUTION: A wireless LAN module(210) outputs an active mode conversation request signal when roaming a terminal from a first access point to a second access point. If the outputted active mode conversion request signal is received in a waiting mode, a controller(220) performs approval process in an active mode. The controller transmits the active mode conversion completion signal.
