<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system suitable for preventing the unauthorized use of a personal computer. <P>SOLUTION: The security system includes: an electronic key 10 with an IC tag 10c for storing ID information; a data read means 41 for reading the data of the IC tag 10c; an individual authentication means 42 for authenticating an individual on the basis of the ID information read from the IC tag 10c by the data read means 41; and an activation control means 42 for making it possible to active the personal computer 7 when the individual authentication means 42 authenticates a valid authority and making it impossible to activate the personal computer 7 when the individual authentication means 42 does not authenticate the valid authority. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
