<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the assemblability of a subassembly to a throttle body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A throttle device 10 comprises a throttle shaft 13 rotatably supported on the throttle body 11, a throttle gear 21 fixed to the throttle shaft 13, an opener 37 rotatably provided on the throttle shaft 13, a back spring 40 interposed between the throttle body 11 and the opener 37, and a relief spring 38 interposed between the throttle gear 21 and the opener 37. The opener 37 is assembled to the throttle gear 21 via the relief spring 38 and the subassembly 50, in which the back spring 40 is temporarily assembled to the opener 37, is assembled to the throttle body 11.
