<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately align a display panel of a display device for providing different images for a plurality of observation areas, and a light advance control part. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a display device includes the display panel 10 in which a plurality of element groups each of which includes a plurality of electro-optical elements (e) are arranged, and the light advance control part which controls display light emitted from each of the plurality of element groups of the display panel 10 so as to advance to the observation areas different from each other. The method for manufacturing a display device includes: a photographing step of taking an image expressed by the display light advancing through the light advance control part from the element group by a camera 40 arranged in the predetermined observation area Ob; an adjusting step of adjusting the light advance control part relative to the display panel 10 so that a difference between an image actually taken by the camera 40 in the photographing step and an image to be taken by the camera 40 may be minimum; and a fixing step of fixing the light advance control part to the display panel 10 after the adjusting step.
