PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaping apparatus for combine harvesters, including a left foot conveyor for conveying rearward the foot side of grain culms reaped by the left part of a reaping section and left ear-tip conveyors for conveying rearward the ear-tip side, so designed to prevent occurrence of an accident as a result of a relevant operator's unintended direct contact with the out-of-action part of the left foot conveyor or the left ear-tip conveyor. SOLUTION: The reaping apparatus for combine harvesters includes a reaping section 18 for reaping grain culms in a farm and a left foot conveyor 27D for conveying rearward foot sides of grain culms reaped by the left part of the reaping section 18 and left ear-tip conveyors 31D and 32D for conveying rearward ear-tip sides, and is joinable to the front of the traveling machine body 2. In this reaping apparatus, the out-of-action parts side where grain culms in the left foot conveyor 27D or the left ear-tip conveyors 31D and 32D are not conveyed is fitted with covers 84, 85, 86 and 87 covering the out-of-action parts.
