<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology in a PDP manufacturing method to control generation of defective cells or to improve characteristics of the defective cells to the same level as those of normal lighting cells, thereby improving display quality of panels and a yield. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the PDP includes a basic panel manufacturing process (S10), an aging process (S20) to apply voltage to electrodes of the panel, processes for panel lighting tests and display quality check, or the like (S30) as well as a process for heat treatment (S40), for example after the lighting test process (S30), at least once, of the panel with discharge gas already sealed in.
