PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated metallic plate excellent in weatherability (light resistance, film thickness wear resistance), chemical resistance, coating film hardness, corrosion resistance, workability and designability (metallic matte coating film). SOLUTION: A coating method of metallic feeling matte design coated metallic plate is carried out by forming a cured coating film (A1) having 1-10μm dry film thickness from a primer coating material (A) on a metallic plate having a surface on which chemical conversion treatment can be applied, applies an intermediate coating material (B) containing 50-120 pts.wt. pigment component based on 100 pts.wt. of the total of a hydroxide group-containing resin and a crosslinking agent on the surface of the cured coating film (A1) and heating and curing to form a cured coating film (B1) having 5-20μm dry film thickness and further applying a metallic feeling clear coating material (C) on the cured coating film (B1), heating and curing to form a cured coating film (C1) having 10-25μm thickness.
