<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of preventing the photographed image data from being recorded in a direction different from the desired direction of the photographer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The imaging device includes: a first imaging element 102 for photographing the subject; and a second imaging element 112 for obtaining a facial image of a photographer. The imaging device also includes an image processing part 107 for determining the relative attitude of the device body to the photographer from the facial image of the photographer obtained by the second imaging element 112 to determine the longitudinal lateral direction of the photographed image photographed by the first imaging element 102 based on the relative attitude.
