The method involves selecting static three-dimensional image data (6) of an examining area and selecting a dynamic sequence of two-dimensional image data (7) of the examining area in motion. The two-dimensional image data is associated with the three-dimensional image data. The movement of the examining area from the sequence of two-dimensional image data to the three-dimensional image data is transmitted. The three-dimensional image data is displayed in one of the movements corresponding to dynamic shapes.
