<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavating machine which can efficiently form an excavation hole even when the hole exceeds the length of a continuous screw drill during excavation. <P>SOLUTION: The excavating machine 10 includes: an excavation driving part 16 movably attached to a strut 12; the continuous screw drill 22 an excavation element 20, which is rotatably driven by the excavation driving part 16 along the strut 12 and can move, and is arranged below the excavation driving part 16; and excavation element 20 connected to the continuous screw drill 22 and having extended part 30 extending upward by the excavation driving part 16.
