METHOD FOR RECOVERING VIRUS FROM CELL CULTURE USING HYPERTONIC SALT SOLUTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a virus preparation contributing to the production of the virus preparation in high yield and purity. SOLUTION: The method for harvesting the virus from a herpesvirus-infected cultured cell is provided. The method includes treating the cultured cell with a hypertonic aqueous solution, and affording a virus suspension. In the method, the production yield of the virus for live virus vaccines can be improved as compared with a method for disrupting a virus-infected cell.
