<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To let remaining light-emitting diode continue lighting even when not less than one light-emitting diode out of the light-emitting diodes connected in series are disconnected, and to notify users of the disconnection failure. <P>SOLUTION: A light-emitting diode driving device includes: a plurality of light-emitting diodes D1 to Dn connected in series; a power supply circuit 1 for supplying power to the light-emitting diodes D1 to Dn connected in series; a means for detecting the disconnection when any of the light-emitting diode is disconnected; resisters R1 to Rn connected in parallel with the light-emitting diodes D1 to Dn; switch elements Sw1 to Swn connected in series with the resisters R1 to Rn; an informing means 4 for informing the disconnection; and a controlling means 3 for making it possible to light the remaining light-emitting diode when any of the light-emitting diode Di is disconnected by controlling the switches Sw1 to Swn so as for a current to flow through the resister Ri connected in parallel with the light emitting diode Di, and for controlling the informing means 4 to notify users of the disconnection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
