PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid drive device and a solenoid actuator which prevent the increasing production cost even with the miniaturization and overheat prevention of the electromagnetic coil. SOLUTION: A transistor 21 is connected with a direct current resistance element 18 for current control and is driven by the voltage drop of a direct current resistance element 23 for start-up control connected in series with a capacitor 22. The voltage drop thereby continues to take place in direct current resistance element 23 for startup control until charges are accumulated in the capacitor 22, so that the transistor 21 is closed. Thus, a direct current resistance element 18 for current control is short-circuited, allowing a large amount of current to flow in an electromagnetic coil 11 to pull a plunger. On the other hand, even employment of thin windings allows charges to be accumulated in the capacitor 22 before the electromagnetic coil 11 is overheated, thus releasing the direct current resistance element 18 for current control from the short-circuited state. Even a simple circuit enables the prevention of the overheat of the electromagnetic coil 11 as well as the avoidance of the increasing production cost. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
