Heating device for induction heating of a calendar roll

The device (1) has a calendar roll (3) with electrically conducting peripheral surface, rotating in roller arrangement. An inductor arrangement (8) is arranged radially to the roll and adjacent to peripheral section of the roll comprising a support beam (10). An inductor device (11) is arranged at the beam extending along roller length of the roll. The beam has majority of individual ribs (12) serving to the roll interspaced with each other, and the inductor device is transverse relocatably supported to the beam at free ends of the ribs.
