A device (D) for measuring the mechanical properties of an area of biological tissue, comprising a source of gas for injecting pressurized gas, according to an axis Y-Y, towards the area of tissue and a light source which emits a light beam, according to the Y-Y axis, towards the area of tissue, the device being envisaged for carrying out measurements on the skin and comprising: - a tube of axis Y-Y, the end of which is intended to be placed in proximity to the area of skin to be examined, which channels the gas jet, - a light sensor (4), shifted relative to the Y-Y axis, intended to collect a part of the rays of the beam that is reflected by the area of skin.
