PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal printer head which contains a temperature sensor having high reliability by providing the double layers of sensors which are made of a first and second thin film resistors made of the same film as a heater on a base plate. CONSTITUTION:A thin film resistance film is coated on an insulating substrate 10, and a plurality of heaters 12 and the first thin film resitor 14a of a temperature sensor are simultaneously formed by photoetching means. Then, more than one layer of thin metallic films are coated on the entire surface, and electrodes 13 which are respectively connected to a plurality of heaters 12 and the first resistor 14a are formed by photoetching means. A thin film resistance film is coated on the region which includes the first resistor 14a, and the second thin flm resitor 14b is formed by photoetching means. Then, a wear resistant insulating layer 15 is coated on the overall surface except the terminal of the electrode 13, thereby obtaining the captioned thermal printer head. |
