The head (1) has an intake pipe emerging from a combustion chamber via an intake orifice equipped with a seat of a valve (3), where the head comprises a space for a spark plug. A machining surface (102) delimits the combustion chamber and is located between the seat and an extension of a wall (2) of a cylinder in an engine. A piston (5) slides against the wall of the cylinder. The surface forms a cone portion that joins the seat of the valve. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating a cylinder head of an engine.
