<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing microbeads capable of providing the beads set which is containing various kind microbeads, the population of each microbead of which is clear. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing microbeads includes: the forming process S<SB>2</SB>for forming a thin film formed on a substrate in a predetermined form by photo-lithography; the immobilizing process S<SB>5</SB>for immobilizing a prescribed substance on the thin film which has been formed on the substrate; and the stripping off process S<SB>6</SB>for stripping off the thin film on which the substance has been immobilized after forming.
