PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the extreme deterioration in binding ability generated by water and a clay-base binder constituting a green sand casting mold without generating harmful components such as SO2 while keeping this inner part in a reducing atmosphere when a carbon-neutral edible vegetative oil is used as the main component and molten metal is poured into the casting mold. Ž
SOLUTION: A carbonaceous additive for green sand casting mold, consists essentially of the edible vegetative oil containing glycerine, wherein the mixed ratio of the edible vegetative oil and the glycerine, is 95-65:5-35. This edible vegetative oil containing the glycerine, is a by-product generated in a process for producing a biotechnology diesel fuel from the used edible vegetative oil. This producing process is the one for generating esters and glycerine by allowing the edible vegetative oil containing a plurality of kinds of glyceride to react with methanol in the presence of caustic potash or caustic soda. The by-product is a residue wherein esters are removed from the edible vegetative oil. Ž
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
