PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily vary torque characteristics without changing any wiring status of a motor having a two-phase loop winding three-phase stator.
SOLUTION: For a three-phase motor 1 having a stator that generates a three-phase magnetomotive force using U-phase and W-phase loop windings with a counter electromotive voltage phase difference of 60 degrees in the electric angle, a motor controller 50 can perform a switching operation between a balancing energization where energization is carried out with the current-carrying phase difference of 120 degrees in the electric angle for the U-phase and W-phase loop windings and an irregular energization where energization is carried out with a current-carrying phase difference of 60 degrees in the electric angle for the U-phase and W-phase loop windings. The motor controller performs the irregular energization when a relatively large maximum torque is required, while performs the balancing energization when a relatively small torque ripple is required.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
