<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs by eliminating waste in transfer paper size when check copying. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This image forming device includes a printer part which forms an image based on image data and transfers and outputs the image to a transfer paper sheet, a plurality of paper feed trays accommodating the transfer paper sheet and preparing paper feed, and a control part which can set up the transfer paper size of each paper feed trays, selects the paper feed tray to feed paper at outputting and controls the printer part. The control part has a normal copy mode and a check copy mode and can select and switch the paper feed tray according to the normal copy mode and the check copy mode. In the check copy mode, the device switches to the paper feed tray to which the transfer paper size smaller than the transfer paper size to transfer the image in the normal copy mode and larger than the image transfer region to be output.
