PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio playback device capable of easily changing audio, without restricting the number of pieces of audio that is played back. SOLUTION: The audio data is sequentially read a fixed amount each from a memory 3 for storing an audio data by a recording means 2A, and recorded in first and second memory banks 4 and 5 by turns. The audio data recorded in the first and second memory banks 4 and 5 are read in a recorded order by a playback means 2B, and sequentially reproduced via a loudspeaker 7. Recording operation by the recording means 2A is inhibited in the memory banks 4 and 5 which are being used for playback by the playback means 2B by an operation inhibiting meas 2C.
