PRODUCTION OF AVIATION FUEL FROM RENEWABLE FEEDSTOCKS

A hydrocarbon prod-uct stream having hydrocarbons with boiling points in the aviation fuel range is produced from renewable feedstocks such as plant and animal oils. The process involves treating a renewable feedstock by hydrogenat-ing, deoxygenating, isomerization, and selectively hydrocracking the feedstock to produce paraffinic hy-drocarbons having from 9 to 16 car-bon atoms and a high iso/normal ra-tio in a single reaction zone contain-ing a multifunctional catalyst, or set of catalysts, having hydrogenation, deoxygenation, isomerization and se-lective hydrocracking functions.
