<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a state, where an audio signal of a one-side channel is missed, in a stereo sound signal transmission system for transmitting a stereo sound signal of a left channel and a right channel. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to the stereo sound signal transmission system for transmitting a stereo sound signal, formed from a signal of a left channel L and a signal of a right channel R, via a leased line network, including: a 0-level detection section 13 (23) for detecting whether the sound signal of the left channel L and the sound signal of the right channel R are at 0 level continuously for a predetermined time; and a means of a P/S conversion section 14 or S/P conversion section 24 including a configuration to copy and add, in place of the sound signal of a channel at 0 level detected by the 0-level detection section 13 (23), the sound signal of the other channel.
