<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system with an optical type position detecting means easy and inexpensive to construct, and to provide an electro-optical device. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system 10 includes an illumination light source 11 for emitting illumination light L1, a first position detecting light source 12A for emitting first position detecting light L2a, a second position detecting light source 12C for emitting second position detecting light L2c, and a light guide plate 13 having light incident planes 13a, 13b which take the illumination light and the first position detecting light and the second position detecting light to the inside, and a light emission plane 13c which is provided adjacent to the light incident planes in a crossing manner for emitting the inside propagating illumination light and the first position detecting light and the second position detecting light, for emitting the first position detecting light and the second position detecting light in parallel to directions of crossing the directions of injection to the light incident planes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
