<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device for a manual transmission capable of improving shift feeling by achieving smooth shift operation by axial movement of a shift-and-select shaft without being affected by a clearance required in manufacturing. <P>SOLUTION: The operating device for the manual transmission is provided with a plurality of operating shafts for selectively engaging a shift gear set by axially moving either one of the operating shafts; the shift-and-select shaft 2 having an engagement groove 39 extending in the circumferential direction, selecting the operation shaft by rotating circumferentially and moving the selected operation shaft in an axial direction thereof by moving in an axial direction of the shift-and-select shaft 2; an operating portion for manually operating the shaft 2; an inertia body including an engagement pin 5, positioned at one end within the engagement groove 39 and pivoting in response to the movement of the shaft 2 in the axial direction thereof; and a swing-and-contact member 6 provided at the engagement pin 5 of the inertia body swingably so as to swing when being pressed by one inner surface 36 of the engagement groove 39 in accordance with the movement of the shaft 2 and contacting both inner surfaces 35, 36 of the engagement groove 39. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
