<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyanion type positive electrode active material which is excellent on initial efficiency of a battery wherein a carbon material capable of occluding and discharging lithium ions is used as a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte battery using the same polyanion type positive electrode active material. <P>SOLUTION: The initial efficiency of the battery can be improved in comparison with a case that Li<SB>y</SB>FePO<SB>4</SB>excluding Co is used since phosphoric acid cobalt iron lithium expressed with a general formula Li<SB>y</SB>Fe<SB>(1-x)</SB>Co<SB>x</SB>PO<SB>4</SB>(0<x≤0.05, 0≤y≤1.2) is used as a positive electrode active material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
