<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable exchanging a wire material of a column material and the like and obtaining structually sufficient joint strength in a wooden framework building. <P>SOLUTION: A joint metal 11 for building includes a hollow enclosure part 21 accommodated between the longitudinal end surfaces 61a of a sill 62 and a column material 63 and joining the sill 62 and the column material 63 while being set between the end surfaces 61a, and joint surfaces 22 are formed at parts of the enclosure part 21, joining the end surfaces 61a of the sill 62 and the column material 63. The joint surfaces 22 are provided with a bolt 32 for joining the sill 62 and the column material 63, or a support hole 22a supporting a bolt 41.
