<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separately use a driving source of a rotating machine achieving engine driving and motor driving through a gearbox. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a compressor drive system 1, a compressor 21 is driven by an engine 3 or a motor generator 4 or by both sides through the gearbox 6. When changing speed, power transmission from the engine 3 is cut and power transmission from the motor generator 4 is performed.
