PURPOSE:To obtain a conveying roller which has excellent durability and chemical resistance, is lightweight and has electrical and heat conductivity in combination by using a carbon fiber reinforced resin to constitute the conveying roller member to be used in a device for processing a photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:A bakelite or ABS resin roller to be used for the conveying roller is replaced with a carbon fiber reinforced resin roller 40, by which the mechanical strength is remarkably improved and the durability is made higher. Rubber is generally superposed on a cylinder of a metallic core material in order to intensify the mechanical strength of rubber. The integral molding of the core material with rubber having good heat resistance is made possible and the weight of the rubber roller 50 is considerably reduced by using a carbon fiber core material 5 in place of the metallic core material. A shaft is insert- molded and the reduction of man-hours and cost and the improvement of finish accuracy are attained when an integrally molded roller 60 is formed by further using the carbon fiber reinforced resin for the boss part as well.
