PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial gap type motor which facilitates assembly of a rotor and reduces manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The axial gap type motor 10 includes a structure in which a main magnet portion 41 magnetized in a shaft direction, a pair of magnetic members 42 disposed on both side surfaces of the main magnet portion 41 and sub-magnet portions 43 each disposed between the magnet members 42 adjacent in the circumferential direction are held by supporting plates 44, 45 from the side of the diameter direction to form each of magnetic pole units 30, and the magnetic pole units 30 are each disposed between adjacent ribs 34 of a rotor frame 33.
