<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a communication system for reducing the load of a camera when simply performing various photograph services by radio communication anywhere; a camera communication method; a camera; and an image service system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The communication system includes: a cellular phone 30 for communicating with hot spots 101 to 103 to acquire a communication protocol to connect to the hot spots 101 to 103; and a camera 10 having an infrared communication part 5 for communicating with the cellular phone 30 to acquire the communication protocol acquired by the cellular phone 30, and a wireless LAN part 7 for communicating with the hot spots 101 to 103 according to the communication protocol acquired through the infrared communication part 5.
