<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulated DC-DC converter that prevents the malfunction of a transistor for auxiliary switch at startup. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The primary winding 11 of a transformer 10, a MOS transistor Qm for main switch, and a direct-current power supply 15 are connected in series. A series circuit of a clamp capacitor C1 and a MOS transistor Qs for auxiliary switch is connected in parallel with the primary winding 11 of the transformer 10. A driving signal is sent to a gate drive circuit 30 for the MOS transistor for auxiliary switch through a gate drive circuit 20 for the MOS transistor for main switch and an inverter 43. In the driving signal, a signal for turning on the MOS transistor Qm for main switch first when the insulated DC-DC converter is started is masked using a switch 50 and a delay circuit 51.
