PURPOSE: A pickling method for austenite stainless steel is provided to manufacture 200-grade stainless steel with a surface similar to 300-grade stainless steel by treating stainless steel at a hydrofluoric acid concentration of 25~35(g/l) and a hydrofluoric acid temperature of 40~50°C. CONSTITUTION: A pickling method for austenite stainless steel comprises a step of heat-treating 200-grade stainless steel in a furnace(20) at an annealing temperature of 1060~1100°C, a hydrofluoric acid concentration of 25~35(g/l), a hydrofluoric acid temperature of 40~50°C, and a line speed of 30~40mpm. The stainless steel comprises chrome 16 weight%, nickel 4 weight%, and manganese 6.8 weight%. The scales in the heat-treated stainless steel are cracked by a scale breaker(30). An impact is applied to the cracked scales by shot blasters(40) so that the scales are removed from the stainless steel.
