<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve effective multi-viewpoint distance information encoding by integrating multi-viewpoint distance information in wide-ranging distance information at several representative viewpoints. <P>SOLUTION: A three-dimensional point restoration part 1061 calculates a three-dimensional coordinate of a point on a photographed object wherein the point is photographed to each pixel from distance information constituting multi-viewpoint distance information with each camera as a reference. A three-dimensional point reprojecting part 1062 calculates the position of a point on a projection face when the point is photographed by a representative viewpoint camera and a distance between the camera and the point on the photographed object for each point on the photographed object having the calculated three-dimensional coordinate value. A wide-range distance information preparing part 108 prepares distance information to the representative view-point camera at each position on the projection face of the representative viewpoint camera by using a value of a distance with the same position obtained by reprojection.
